STAY SAFE THIS SUMMER!

Hi Frens,

It’s that time of year again when the weather is gorgeous, the BBQ smells are painting the air and the sun is (finally) shining. We are true sun dogs (who doesn’t love the sun?!). We love to bask in any part of the sunshine and hunt out those sun spots in the house.

BUT Mom says the sunshine and heat can be super dangerous for dogs, to the point where it can be fatal. It’s really important we stay cool and hydrated. During the summer we wear our cooling tees, Mom wets them under the tap for us, gives them a squeeze and then we wear them. They are light-weight (so we barely notice we are wearing anything!) and breathable so the heat from our bodies travels through the fabric, rather than getting trapped underneath it. As they dry, she just pops them back under the tap and repeats the whole process! Hugo also suffers from seasonal allergies (grass in particular), he gets super itchy and it makes his skin hot and sore to the touch as well as causing him to losing his fur. These tees are perfect for him as they stop the grass touching his skin on walks and keep him comfortable.

We recommend always seeking out those shaded places for naps and making sure you pop to the water bowl frequently as well as wearing our tees. If you suffer from alopecia or similar they’re great too as they offer UV protection from the sun, even when it’s cloudy and you might think the sun is hidden! We have two different types, one in Bamboo fabric which is naturally hypoallergenic or cotton elastane which is a denser fabric and holds the water for longer. Ultimately, both do the same job but allow us to have a greater selection of colour choices!

So, stay safe and cool this summer (as well as su-paw stylish, as always!).
